VINLAND PLAN COMMISSION

The Plan commission held a meeting Monday, December 5, 2011; 6:30 P.M. Those present were Zoning Administrator Bob Weber, Commissioners Jeff Gorr, Joe Kuehnl, Dale Wilde, Plan Commission Chair Shirley Brazee, Plan Commission Secretary Marilyn Fahrenkrug as well as 6 citizens in attendance.

 

There was a quorum present.

Approval of minutes from November 7, 2011 Motion to approve the minutes Weber/second/Kuehnl/carried

The Plan Commission reviewed the following items:

 

  • A  proposed CSM submitted by Mr. Jon Kellett to create Lot (#1) 218,372 sq. ft. (5.013 acres) out of tax parcel #026-0268. Mr. Kellett wants to create a separate parcel from the original 39+ acres owned by his family that would be non-buildable. The parcel has 33 ft of road frontage and he would like it to remain zoned A-2.  This parcel would be where the Town Dump was in the past. Motion to vote Weber/second/Wilde/carried

   no    0    to recommend not to approve

 

  • A proposed CSM submitted by Mr. David Schutzendorf to create Lot (#1) 62.783 sq. ft. (1.441 acres) out of two original tax parcels #026-0614 and #026-0614-10. The property is land locked and Mr. Schutzendorf wants to combine the parcels for tax purposes.  Motion to vote Wilde/second/Kuehnl/carried

  • Dale Wilde recused himself from this item and took a seat in the galley. A proposed CSM submitted by Wilde Farms Inc. to create Lot (#1) 98,117 sq. ft. (2.252 acres) and Lot (#2) 1,656,617 sq. ft. (38.031 acres) out of tax parcel #026-0196. Wilde Farms, Inc. wants to purchase the property and would like the house and farm buildings that are currently there parceled separate from the land.  Motion to vote Weber/second/Brazee/carried

  • Zoning change application for both Lots 1 & 2  submitted by Wilde Farms Inc. to create Lot (#1) 98,117 sq. ft. (2.252 acres) and Lot (#2) 1,656,617 sq. ft. (38.031 acres) out of tax parcel #026-0196 (Wilde Farms Inc.) The 2.252 acres would be zoned R-1 and the remaining 38.031 would be zoned A-2,General Farming District(town) It is currently zoned A-1, Agribusiness District(town) and the county has a zoning of A-2 , General Farming District. Motion to vote Kuehnl/second/Gorr/carried

Dale Wilde asked that we include the acreage behind the fore mentioned acreage in the zoning change as well.  The parcel 026-0197-01, is currently zoned A-1, Agribusiness District (town) and the county has a zoning of A-2, General Farming District. He would like the 20 acre parcel to be zoned A-2,General Farming District(town)    For this to proceed to the Town Board it was decided that Mr. Weber publish another notice and mail letters to adjoining property owners to inform them of the change being requested. The clerk will place this issue on the Town board agenda of December 12, 2011. 

 

The Commission Chair requested that the Zoning Administrator include with his packet a list of the mailings he makes when he publishes notices.

 

Correspondence. There was no correspondence to share.
