The Vinland Town Board meeting was held Monday January 9, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Vinland Town Hall.  Present were Chairman Ray Batley, Supervisors Chuck Farrey and Ed Sypek, Zoning Administrator Bob Weber, Clerk Marilyn Fahrenkrug and Treasurer Georgia Jensen.

The meeting began at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance with the approval of minutes to follow.

1.     FIRE DEPT. MINUTES OF DECEMBER 6, 2O11 Motion to approve Farrey/second/Sypek/carried.

2.     TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF DECEMBER 12, 2011 Motion to approve Farrey/second/Sypek/carried.

3.     SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF DECEMBER 22, 2011 Motion to approve Sypek/second/ Farrey /carried.

FINANCIAL REPORT FOR OCTOBER, 2011:

1.     TREASURER’S REPORT ON ALL ACCOUNTS HELD BY THE TOWN. Motion to approve Batley/second/ Sypek/carried.
RECONCILIATION BETWEEN CLERK & TREASURER. Motion to approve Batley/second/ Farrey /carried.
AUTHORIZATION TO PAY ALL BILLS SUBMITTED BY THE CLERK. Motion to approve Farrey/second/ Sypek/carried.

PUBLIC INPUT:  There was no public input.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Fire Department Bylaw amendment to increase membership cap to 33. Motion to approve the increase Batley/second/Sypek/carried.
2. Discuss and vote on Tom Spierowski contract renewal. The Board wishes to change the automobile insurance requirement from 1 million to 500,000 and the term to be from February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013. Motion to approve as amended Farrey/second/Batley/carried.

ZONING TOPICS:

1. Application for a conditional use permit to operate a wellness center as a home occupation in a residential district. Owner: William Cronin Estate; Applicant:  Linda Calkins; Location of Property: 6306 Paynes Point Rd Neenah, WI The Board approves this with conditions regarding speeding of vehicles on Paynes Point.  Bob Weber will respond to the county with the conditions.  Motion to approve application with the above conditions Batley/second/Farrey/carried.

ROAD SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT ON CURRENT ROAD PROJECTS THAT HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND WHAT FUTURE PROJECTS WILL BE COMPLETED.

SHARING OF CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED. The Oshkosh Area Triathlon will go through Town 8/05/2012 approximately 7-7:45 a.m.
